    [ QUOTE ]
You are probably right, the best thing to do is just not say anything else.

My comments to him were based solely on this board is where we all make opinions, same as he did in the baseball thread on Pound's coach. He stated his opinion like he did in this one as well.

Yes he was a player for pound last year and he was a great player in all sports. Wish he along with alot of Pound's players would have held back and be with us this year too.

[/ QUOTE ] Here is where I differ from a lot of people. A lot of people think it is okay to hold back a student so they can play sports and I disagree. I think they have had their 4 years and they need to move on to college and to better things. But thats just me....

whoa now...what are you talking about sending Sammy over there to sit the bench....You asked if we started people who dont practice and i answered your question....and this "not having the numbers to bench starters" where did that come from??? i know it didnt come from Appalachia

Sports isn't the only consideration for 'holdbacks', especially if you are a 16-17 year old senior going off to college. Sometimes it is a maturity thing.

    Re: Coeburn @ Pound

You said to ask Sammy about missing practice and not getting to play on Friday.I was just kidding and telling you to tell him if he wants to miss practice and still play to send him on over here.It was a joke.Just saying that here in Pound that is how it has been going. But I think this week has been a little different. As far as I know no one has missed.Way to go Wildcats.I was told that we(Pound) didn't have the numbers to bench our starters that missed practice.Sorry that it all got confused somehow...

    Re: Coeburn @ Pound

I understand that everyone has there opinions. That's what the board was invinted for. The only thing im saying is that, say about 5 years ago there wasn't as much junk on here (for any team) blaming coaches, players, parents, whatever the reason may be there wasn't any of it. It's gotten so out of hand, and basically any body in wise county can get on here and post something and it reflects a whole town. That's all im saying.

    And thank you six4three.

[/ QUOTE ] Yes this is true, but I would guess that 9 times out of 10 that a student holds back is because of sports.

Pound's coaching staff is fine, it's just the players. Not enough "give a [censored]" on the team, too many sackless players.

Edited by Rocketeer, then changed back to Roy's words so the censor would come up. Can't have those words on the forum, what would the children think upon reading that? No more curse words for me boss!
